My name is Shana Keeton. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) with a specialization in English from Texas Tech in 1995. In 2017, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership/Administration. I also have my supplemental ESL certification and my Principal Certification! I taught 4th grade at North Ridge for 6 years. I left the classroom to stay home with my kids but continued to work in education writing curriculum and serving as an instructor for distance learners at Texas Tech University Independent School District. I spent 7 years working for TTUISD until my youngest started Kindergarten. This will be my 12th year at Oak Ridge. I taught 1st grade for two years and now teach 3rd grade Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies

 

My husband Lyle and I have been married for 30 years. We have 20-year-old twins (Nikki and Jacob) who are both Frenship graduates. We also have a 16-year-old (Cole) who is a junior at Frenship High School. As a family we travel to stock shows all over the United States showing Limousin cattle. 

 

Teaching is truly my passion. This is my 26th year in education. I love watching the children learn and grow.
