Earlier this month, the Frenship High School Chess Club made school history by earning the title of JV State Champions at the 2026 Texas Chess Association Super State Tournament. Following their standout performance, the six-member team is now set to compete on the national stage at the USCF National Chess Tournament in Chicago on March 27.
Frenship ISD is proud to celebrate Zian Doctolero, a 7th grader at Terra Vista Middle School, who won the 74th Annual Lubbock Regional Spelling Bee on March 7. Zian will now represent the region at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this May.
