Mrs. Maddox 2nd Grade
Hello, my name is Amber Maddox and I would like to welcome you to third grade! This year I will be starting my thirteenth year in education. I have taught nine years in second grade, and this will be my third year to teach third grade. I have taught in Frenship eleven years, and one year in a neighboring district. To share a little bit about myself, I was born and raised right here in West Texas. I grew up just down the road in Shallowater and graduated from Shallowater High School. I attended Wayland Baptist University and received my degree in education in 2015. My husband Rusty and I have been married for seventeen years and have two sweet kiddos. Ryker is 7 years old and will be starting second grade this year here at Oak Ridge. He is all boy and loves all things trucks, monster trucks, and heavy equipment. Reagan is 4 years old and will be joining us at school this year, which we are all so excited about. She has found her love for Disney princesses barbies, and babies, however she also loves most things her brother is into right now as well. When I am not at school, I am spending my time with my family and enjoying all the things my kids are into.
I cannot wait to get to spend the year with your child and get to know all about them, your family, and the things that they love and enjoy.
I will be team teaching with Mrs. Burgett and Miss. Thompson this year. Mrs. Burgett will be teaching RLA and Miss. Thompson will be teaching Science and Social Studies. We are all so excited for a fun year.
