Hello, my name is Amber Maddox and I would like to welcome you to second grade. I am so excited to be an Oak Ridge Tiger this year. I am starting my tenth year in education and my ninth year in second grade, as well as in Frenship ISD. To share a little bit about myself, I was born and raised right here in West Texas. I grew up in Shallowater graduated from Shallowater High School. I attended Wayland Baptist University and received my degree in education in 2015. My husband Rusty and I have been married for 15 years, and have two sweet kiddos. Ryker is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten this year here at Oak Ridge. He is all boy and loves all things trucks and heavy equipment. Reagan is 2 years old and has found her love for Disney princesses but also loves most things her brother loves right now as well. She is about to start her big two year old class at daycare. When I am not at school, I am spending my time with my family and enjoying all the things my kids are into.
This year I am starting my 10th year in education. I have taught 2nd grade for eight years and will start my ninth year this year back in second grade, and I am so very excited as I love 2nd grade. I also taught 3rd grade math and science last school year.
I will be team teaching with Mrs. Smith this year. She will be teaching RLA and Social Studies.
