Mrs. Maddox 2nd Grade
Hello, my name is Amber Maddox and I would like to welcome you to third grade. I am love being a part of Oak Ridge family! I am starting my eleventh year in education. I have taught nine years in second grade, and this will be my second year to teach third grade. I have taught in Frenship ten years, and one year in a neighboring district as well. To share a little bit about myself, I was born and raised right here in West Texas. I grew up just down the road in Shallowater and graduated from Shallowater High School. I attended Wayland Baptist University and received my degree in education in 2015. My husband Rusty and I have been married for 16 years and have two sweet kiddos. Ryker is 6 years old and will be starting first grade this year here at Oak Ridge. He is all boy and loves all things trucks, monster trucks, and heavy equipment. Reagan is 3 years old and has found her love for Disney princesses and babies, however she also loves most things her brother is into right now as well. She is about to start her big girl three-year-old class at daycare this year. When I am not at school, I am spending my time with my family and enjoying all the things my kids are into.
I cannot wait to get to spend the year with your child and get to know all about them and the things that they love.
I will be team teaching with Mrs. Burgett this year. She will be teaching RLA and Social Studies.
