Hello, my name is Jill Shipley, and I would like to welcome you to the 2nd grade. To tell you a little bit about myself.... I was born and raised in Odessa, Texas. I graduated from Permian High School in 2002 and graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in kinesiology. My husband, Justin and I have two beautiful children, Brandon and Brylee. If I am not at school, you can usually find me at the soccer fields or by the basketball court cheering on my favorite players. :)
Teaching Career:
I have been in education since 2010, so this will be my 15th year in the classroom. I have taught 2nd grade intervention, 1st grade, and I have been in the 2nd grade classroom for 11 years. I enjoy teaching 2nd grade and I am so excited about the upcoming school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me anytime.
This year, Mrs. Riddle and I will be team teaching. Mrs. Riddle will teach Reading/ELA and I will be teaching math/science. We are excited to be working together and with your kiddos.
